Cooking needs equipment, not a category name

Compare the hob or other cooking appliance, refrigerator, cookware and dining space. A microwave and minibar can support reheating and storage without supplying a full cooking arrangement.

Laundry can be private, shared or a service

A machine in the unit, a shared laundry room and a charged laundry service have different access, waiting and cost implications. Include the arrangement you will use in the whole-stay comparison.

Choose the work address before the room

ESOC is near Hauptbahnhof at Robert-Bosch-Strasse 5. TU’s karo5 is central at Karolinenplatz, while Lichtwiese is a separate campus and some S4 buildings are away from the Schloss cluster.

Decide what you need to do at home

For cooking most evenings, the equipment needs to match the meals: a hob for pan cooking, refrigeration for groceries and enough cookware and dishes for the party. A wet bar or minibar is a different facility. More floor area can improve comfort without adding the missing appliance.

For laundry, compare where it happens and how it is paid for. Shared access can be enough for a solo fortnight, while a household may value washing and drying in the unit. A listed laundry service does not mean a guest-operated machine is available.

Sleeping separation can matter more than size

A combined living and sleeping room leaves little separation when one person goes to bed. A bedroom door changes that arrangement. At Welcome Hotel, the Junior Suite and Suite illustrate why area and room division need separate comparisons: the larger Junior Suite combines the spaces, while the Suite separates them.

Put the work journey into every working day

The main station, central university buildings and Lichtwiese are distinct locations. Choose from the address visited repeatedly, not a broad university-nearby description. The district guide explains the geography without assuming that the visitor has already chosen a hotel.

Use the reservation for the financial comparison

Compare the total for the full stay, meals, laundry, parking used and local journeys. Payment dates, deposits, cleaning and cancellation are rate-specific. Fourteen nights is not automatically a monthly stay, and a monthly headline is irrelevant when its minimum duration is longer than the visit.
